Redmi officially introduced the new K90 smartphone series in China, and although the flagship K90 Pro Max received the most attention, the basic Redmi K90 model also deserves a separate mention. Priced at around $360 (2,599 yuan), it offers almost flagship specifications.

The Redmi K90 is equipped with a 6.59-inch TCL M10 LTPO display with 2K resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 3500 nits. The screen supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and has a PWM flicker frequency of up to 2560 Hz—finding a similar display in this price segment is difficult.

Inside is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip paired with Adreno 830 graphics, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage. Cooling is provided by a vapor chamber with an area of 5300 mm² and a three-level heat dissipation system. The smartphone runs on HyperOS 3, Xiaomi's new firmware based on Android 16.

The main camera is a 50 MP Light Hunter 800 with optical stabilization, supplemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle module and a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2.5x zoom. The front camera is 20 MP.

The battery is one of the main highlights: 7100 mAh with support for 100-watt charging. It guarantees more than a day of active use. Additional features: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IP68/IP69 protection, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen, and stereo speakers tuned by Bose (unlike the Pro Max model, it does not have a large third speaker). Despite the capacious battery, the body is only 8 mm thick, and weighs 206 g.

The model is available in Light Purple, Aqua Blue, Black, and White colors.
