It seems that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series of smartphones might indeed be delayed - at least another confirmation has surfaced. Although the company has not officially announced the presentation date, well-known insider Ice Universe reported on Weibo that the release has been postponed. No specific deadlines have been mentioned - it might be only a few weeks, but it is not excluded that the announcement will indeed be postponed by two months to March 2026, as mentioned in the previous leak.

Usually, Samsung presents flagship Galaxy S in January or early February. For example, the S21, S24, and S25 series were presented in January, while the S20, S22, and S23 - in February. So, the delay of S26 seems like a deviation from the usual schedule.

The reasons for the delay are not disclosed, but it is likely related to changes in the product lineup. According to rumors, Samsung has abandoned the Galaxy S26 Edge and S26 Pro models, returning to the classic trio: base, Plus, and Ultra. Changing the model line three months before the announcement can disrupt all production chains. It is also reported that one of the models - probably the S26 Ultra - will have exclusively the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, without variants with its new Exynos 2600 chip. Previously, it was believed that Exynos would be exclusive to the S26 Pro, but since this model is canceled, the configuration has changed.

Another possible factor in the delay is problems with the One UI 8 firmware based on Android 16. Samsung has already recalled updates for the Galaxy S22, S23, and S24 series without explaining the reasons. This may indicate technical difficulties that also affect the new series.

For now, we have to wait for official information from Samsung. But if the leaks are confirmed, the Galaxy S26 may appear later than expected - and possibly with a slightly changed composition and technical characteristics.
