At a time when Apple and Samsung are abandoning ultra-thin models of their smartphones, the Chinese giant Xiaomi, on the contrary, is developing such a gadget.

What is known

According to the reputable Chinese insider Smart Pikachu, the Xiaomi 17 Air will be released next year — an ultra-thin flagship with eSIM support and a powerful camera.

At the moment, very little information is known about the device:

• it will feature a 6.6″ screen with rounded corners;
• an ultra-thin unibody design made by cold forming technology;
• a main sensor of 200 MP;
• eSIM support may mean the absence of a physical SIM card slot.

When to expect

According to preliminary data, the Xiaomi 17 Air will be presented in 2026. It is still unknown whether it will be part of the main lineup or a separate experimental direction.
