The main thing is not to fly away: Nike introduced the inflatable Therma-FIT Air jacket
Nike introduced the world's first inflatable Therma-FIT Air jacket, created using A.I.R. (Adapt. Inflate. Regulate) technology, which allows you to adjust the level of thermal insulation using built-in air chambers.
What is known
The sportswear manufacturer has placed air chambers inside the jacket, which can be filled with different volumes of air to adapt the jacket to weather conditions. Nike claims that one Therma-FIT Air jacket can replace several types of clothing, from a lightweight windbreaker to an insulated winter model.
The system is based on research from the Nike Sport Research Lab and has undergone more than 380 hours of field testing.
It is still unknown when the jacket will go on sale and how much it will cost, but the first to try it will be the athletes of the US national team at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan in 2026.
