Motorola presented the ultra-thin Moto X70 Air smartphone with a high degree of protection and a bright AMOLED display

Motorola introduced the ultra-thin Moto X70 Air smartphone — the first model in the new Air line, focused on combining minimalist design and high performance.

Moto X70 Air has two levels of protection — IP68 and IP69, and also complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810H. This makes it one of the thinnest and at the same time most protected smartphones on the market.

What is known

Moto X70 Air received a 6.7″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (2712×1220 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits, ensuring excellent readability in the brightest lighting. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and the body is made of aluminum alloy with a thickness of only 5.99 mm, weighing 159 grams.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with Adreno 722 graphics, complemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Autonomy is provided by a 4800 mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. The gadget runs on Android 16 and supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C 3.1.

Moto X70 Air will offer the following camera set:

  • Main sensor — 50 MP with optical stabilization, complemented by a 50 MP wide-angle module with a 120° field of view;
  • Front camera also at 50 MP and supports 4K video recording.

Support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and Dolby Atmos is provided.

The smartphone is already available for pre-order in China at a price starting from $365 for the 12/256 GB version and up to $410 for 12/512 GB (converted from yuan).

According to preliminary data, the global version of the device will be released under the name Motorola Edge 70, its release is expected on November 5, 2025.
