Retroid has introduced its most powerful portable console—the Retroid Pocket 6.

The new product mimics the form factor of the famous PlayStation Vita and is suitable for running modern mobile games and emulating retro games.

What is known

The Retroid Pocket 6 is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, equipped with a 5.5″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920x1080 and a 120 Hz refresh rate, and supports BFI (Black Frame Insertion) technology, which is especially useful for retro game emulation—it simulates the behavior of CRT displays and enhances the visual perception of classic shaders.

The device is available in two configurations: with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, as well as with 12/256 GB. Both versions use fast LPDDR5x memory and UFS 3.1 storage, with the possibility of expansion via microSD.

Autonomy is ensured by a 6000 mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging. Among the wireless interfaces are Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, and a DisplayPort with 4K at 60 Hz support is provided for output. The console runs on Android 13.

The Retroid Pocket 6 has a redesigned body with front-facing speakers, symmetrical sticks, and additional buttons under the screen. The device dimensions are 210.4 × 86.6 × 17.2 mm, and the new product weighs only 320 g.

Retroid offers the Pocket 6 in six color options, including classic and vibrant shades.
