New Insta360 X4 Air camera debuts with 8K video support and 165g weight
Insta360 has introduced its compact action camera X4 Air. The device weighs 165 grams, which is 38 grams less than the previous X4 model.
What we know
The X4 Air is equipped with two 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensors with a resolution of 29 MP and f/1.95 aperture lenses. The camera supports video recording in 8K (30 frames per second) and 6K (24 frames per second).
Available modes include Active HDR, InstaFrame, time-lapse, loop recording and Road Mode. FlowState Stabilisation and 360° Horizon Lock are also supported. The Insta360 app allows you to crop, auto-assemble and export videos using built-in AI tools.
The 2,010 mAh battery provides up to 88 minutes of recording in 8K or 100 minutes in 6K. It takes about 36 minutes to charge to 80% and about 57 minutes to 100%.
The X4 Air Starter Kit is priced at $399.99 (€399.99) and includes the camera, battery and basic accessories. A Starter Kit with a 114cm selfie stick, lens case, and additional battery is available for $439.99 (€429.99). Both variants are already available on the Insta360 website and on Amazon. The available camera colours are Graphite Black and Arctic White.
