LG remains the No. 1 brand in the home air conditioner market in Latin America

LG Electronics remains the No. 1 brand in the home air conditioner market in Latin America. According to data from the analytical company Euromonitor International, LG has led air conditioner sales in the region from 2015 to 2024 inclusive. In Brazil, the company also holds leading positions thanks to the combination of inverter technology, new features, and an updated model lineup.

What is known

In 2024, sales of home air conditioners in Latin America increased by 30% compared to 2023. In Brazil, the sales volume has almost tripled compared to 2015. Currently, the penetration level of such devices in the country is approximately 20%. It is expected that by 2029, the market will grow by more than 20%. In response to these trends, LG plans further expansion of its presence in the region.

In 2025, the company introduced new air conditioner models with artificial intelligence features - DUALCOOL AI Air (known in Brazil as DUAL INVERTER AI Air) and ARTCOOL AI Air. These devices can automatically adjust temperature, fan speed, and airflow direction. Features to reduce energy consumption have also been implemented - in particular, AI kW Manager and open window detection.

ARTCOOL AI Air received recognition from the Red Dot Design Award and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), while the DUALCOOL AI Air model earned the iF Design Award.
