Lexus unveiled a new concept car LS Coupé at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo. Contrary to its name, it is not a coupe but an SUV that could compete with Porsche Cayenne and premium SUVs from other German brands.

Known Details

The Lexus LS Coupé showcases the design direction of future generations of the Japanese brand's models. Inside, it has three wide displays—two for the driver and one (foldable) for the passenger. Instead of the usual steering wheel, it features something akin to an aircraft yoke.

Rear seat passengers can use extendable armrests and large portrait-oriented displays built into the backs of the front seats. Despite this, it is claimed there is no less free space in the second row than in luxury sedans.

Instead of a traditional trunk door, the concept is equipped with a retractable drawer from which a drone can take off and document the trip from a bird's eye view.

The future of the Lexus LS Coupé is still uncertain—the company has neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of a production version.
