ASUS has released the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI — the world's first router with a built-in NPU and advanced AI features
ASUS has released the flagship router ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI, which became the world's first device with an integrated AI processor. The novelty is targeted at gamers, streamers, and smart home owners, offering intelligent network management features.
What's known
The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI can adapt to user behavior in real-time, automatically optimizing connection quality, prioritizing gaming devices, and blocking unwanted trackers and ads. The AI processor operates independently of the main CPU, ensuring stable performance even under high load.
The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI has a quad-core processor with a 2.6 GHz frequency + a dedicated neural module (NPU) with a performance of 7.9 TOPS, as well as 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in memory.
Such characteristics allow the router to provide up to 19 Gbps over wireless connection. Wired connection throughput is up to 31 Gbps through two 10 Gbps ports, four 2.5 Gbps ports, and 20 Gbps channel aggregation.
Additional features of ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI:
- The Wi-Fi 7 protocol supports three bands (2.4, 5, and 6 GHz), 320 MHz channel width, and 4096-QAM modulation;
- The Docker Engine software platform allows applications to run locally on the router;
- AI Game Boost performs AI optimization of routes to reduce ping and packet loss;
- There is Private Edge AI — a built-in chatbot to assist users and automate tasks.
- The router supports simultaneous connection of more than 200 devices and provides three-level security.
The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI router is already on sale for $900, making it one of the most expensive consumer routers on the market. However, ASUS is confident that the advanced features and performance justify the cost.
