Samsung Galaxy S26 to be unveiled later: the presentation is expected on February 25
Over the past week, there have been many leaks about the Galaxy S26, and a new report from South Korea hints at a possible announcement date for the new flagship series. According to a Korean publication (via @Jukan on X), Samsung plans to hold the next Galaxy Unpacked presentation on February 25 in San Francisco – later than usual.
What is known
This will be Samsung's first event in San Francisco in three years. The city was chosen due to its significance as a center of AI technology.
The shift in presentation dates is associated with the company's strategy adjustment. Previous reports suggested that the Galaxy S25 Edge model would replace the S26 Plus version. However, due to weak Edge sales, the company decided to bring back the Plus model. As a result, the new series will again consist of three devices: Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.
It is reported that the Galaxy S26 series will run on the Exynos 2600 chip, including the Ultra model. This will be the first time since the Galaxy S22 that a Samsung flagship will fully utilize its own processor. At the same time, the company will continue its strategy of using two chipsets: depending on the region, models will be supplied with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor on certain markets. This approach has already been applied in previous generations.
