Honor is preparing to unveil the new Honor 500 series of smartphones this month in China. Ahead of the announcement, insider Digital Chat Station shared a design sketch showing that the novelties will receive a horizontal camera block similar to the Apple iPhone Air or Google Pixel.

What is known

According to the leak, the Honor 500 and 500 Pro will have a sleek design with a flat display, rounded corners, and horizontal "decor" for cameras. The standard model will get a dual module, while the Pro version will have a triple camera with a periscopic telephoto sensor OmniVision OV64B (64 MP).

Both models are likely to be equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, 80 W charging support, and Android 16 based on MagicOS 10. The Pro version will get a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, while the processor of the basic model is still unknown.

A 200 MP main camera and an ultra-wide module are expected, and the color options will include black, silver, pink, and blue.

Given the improvements in performance, cameras, and "wrapping", the Honor 500 may be more expensive than its predecessor. The novelty will compete with Oppo Reno 15 and Vivo S50, which also debut this month.
