SanDisk has introduced a new line of Extreme Fit USB-C flash drives, including the world's smallest USB-C flash drive with a capacity of 1TB, combining ultra-compact design, high data transfer speeds, and the convenience of staying connected to various gadgets.

What is known

The Extreme Fit USB-C is designed in a plug-and-stay format — the flash drive barely protrudes from the device, making it ideal for permanent use. The dimensions are 18.5 × 15.7 × 13.6 mm, and the weight is just 3 grams. Despite its compactness, the drive provides a read speed of up to 400 MB/s (for models starting from 128 GB and above) thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface.

The flash drive is available in 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB variants. It is compatible with laptops, tablets, and smartphones equipped with a USB-C port, including devices running Windows 10/11, macOS 12 and above, and iPadOS 15 and above.

The Extreme Fit USB-C is perfect for those looking to expand their device's memory without extra bulk. It is unobtrusive when connected, does not interfere during transport, and does not require constant removal. However, the manufacturer notes that the flash drive is not intended for recording high bitrate videos, like 4K ProRes 120 fps.

The SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C lineup is already on sale. The 1TB model costs $120, and the smaller capacity versions start at $15.
