Impressive: ARC Raiders became the highest-rated online game on Opencritic
A few days ago, the developers from Embark Studios — authors of the online shooter The Finals, and creators of Battlefield in the distant past — impressed the gaming community with the release of the ambitious Extraction-shooter ARC Raiders, which became the highest-rated and simultaneously the most visited game of its genre on Steam.
Critics fully shared the gamers' enthusiasm for ARC Raiders, as confirmed by high scores on aggregators.
What is known
On Opencritic, the new shooter has 93 points and this score has propelled ARC Raiders to the position of the highest-rated online game on this aggregator. The closest competitor to the shooter is the popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, specifically its expansion Endwalker, which has the same score.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape rounds out the top three on Opencritic among online games — 91 points.
However, other popular titles in this genre did not come close to the leaders:
- Fortnite — 84 points;
- Battlefield 6 — 84 points;
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 — 83 points;
- Counter-Strike 2 — 80 points;
