Unfortunately, the rumor about the second postponement of the Grand Theft Auto VI release has been confirmed.

Initially, the most anticipated game in the industry's history was supposed to be released in the fall of 2025, but it was postponed to May 26, 2026. Now the new release date has become known.

What is Known

Rockstar Games and Take-Two announced that the release of GTA 6 has been postponed to November 19, 2026.

The official statement says that the authors understand the gamers' disappointment but strive to release a high-class game, and the additional six months will help them achieve this goal.

We would like to thank you once again for your patience and support. Although the wait is a bit longer, we can’t wait for players to set off to the state of Leonida and return to modern-day Vice City.

The head of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, assures (again) that there will be no further delays and the specified date will be final.

Following such an announcement, Take-Two's stocks fell by 10%, but it is unlikely to last long, and they will return to previous levels shortly.

Initially, GTA VI will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and later it will reach PC.
