Rumor: Original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to Appear in Xbox Game Pass Soon
Microsoft has long promised that all Call of Duty parts will gradually be added to the Xbox Game Pass catalog. This process is not fast, and currently, only a few shooters from the popular franchise are listed in the subscription, but it may soon be replenished with another title.
What is known
A Reddit user shared information that an official promotional banner appeared on his console, informing about new additions to Xbox Game Pass, and among other games, the art of the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009 was presented.
Since the shooter has never been in Game Pass, it sparked active discussion, and some gamers suggest that the marketing team confused the 2009 game with its 2022 remake. But this theory doesn't seem plausible, because
a) smart people work at Microsoft and are unlikely to make such a mistake;
b) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) has long been added to Game Pass and there is no particular point in putting it on a new banner.
Therefore, it is more likely that the popular subscription will indeed be replenished with the famous military shooter, which the public values much more than its reimagining.
But what is certain to be added to Game Pass is the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which will be released on November 14.
