Rumor: Galaxy S26 Ultra May Be Released Exclusively on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Insiders still have not reached a consensus about the processors of the Galaxy S26 smartphone lineup. Samsung developed and started production of the flagship Exynos 2600 chipset using the 2nm process, and some sources suggest that it will be used in all models. Meanwhile, Qualcomm representatives stated that "75% of the Galaxy S26 will receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5."
Overall, the Korean company has always used both Exynos and Snapdragon, depending on the sales region, but now there is information that the top model of 2026 will use only one chip.

A little-known Telegram channel Schrodinger's Leaks reported that Samsung will take an unusual step and release the Galaxy S26 Ultra only on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with the For Samsung suffix.
This processor has already proven its effectiveness in many other gadgets, but the first tests of the Exynos 2600 looked extremely impressive, showing that Samsung's chipset outperforms Qualcomm's processor in performance.
There is speculation in the media that Samsung is either unsure of the stable operation of the latest processor or will not have enough time to produce a sufficient quantity of Exynos 2600 to equip all Galaxy S26 models.
