It's been more than seven years since Bethesda Game Studios head Todd Howard announced The Elder Scrolls VI with fanfare on stage at E 2018. At that time, a modest thirty-second teaser was shown and since then nothing has been heard about one of the most anticipated role-playing games.

Later, Howard stated that he made this announcement "under fan pressure." This does not make it any easier for gamers, but they are patiently waiting for any news about the game. And we have some.

What is known

Unfortunately, the news from Todd Howard will upset The Elder Scrolls fans.

In an interview with GQ, the developer stated that although the game’s creation progresses every day — its release is still very remote. Howard urges the public to be patient (wasn't he the one who excited them?) and admitted that the project is still far from release.

During the interview, the head of Bethesda was asked if he ruled out the possibility of a surprise release of TES VI, as was the case with the remaster of Oblivion, to which Howard responded ambiguously that "... it was a trial run and everything worked out great...". But intuition suggests that after a few more years, Todd Howard will say that he was now under pressure from journalists.
