Ultra-thin smartphone Huawei Mate 70 Air with a 6500 mAh battery debuted in the Chinese market
Sales of the premium ultra-thin smartphone Huawei Mate 70 Air have started in China, attracting attention with its elegant design, excellent features, and affordable price.
What is known
Mate 70 Air is already available on Chinese marketplaces in black, white, and silver colors. Global release dates are not yet announced.

- 12 GB + 256 GB – ~ $575;
- 12 GB + 512 GB – ~ $645;
- 16 GB + 256 GB – ~ $645;
- 16 GB + 512 GB – ~ $715.
Huawei Mate 70 Air features a body that is only 6.6 mm thick, making it the brand's thinnest smartphone and one of the thinnest devices on the market, while its battery capacity is 6500 mAh, which is not only significantly larger than, for example, the iPhone Air (3149 mAh) and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge (3900 mAh), but also an excellent indicator even for smartphones with standard thickness.
The new Huawei comes with a 7″ OLED display with a resolution of 2760×1320 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 4000 nits.
The smartphone is available in two versions: with a Kirin 9020A processor and 16 GB of RAM, as well as with a Kirin 9020B and 12 GB of RAM. The internal storage volume is 256 or 512 GB. The device runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, ensuring smooth and stable operation.
The main camera of Huawei Mate 70 Air includes a 50 MP sensor with optical stabilization, a 12 MP telephoto module with 3x zoom, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and an additional Red Maple sensor of 1.5 MP. The 10.7 MP front camera supports 4K video recording.
Also, the smartphone received high-quality stereo speakers and water and dust protection according to IP68/IP69 standards.
