A few days ago, we reported that an insider under the nickname Semi-retired-ing claimed that Stagnation of Samsung Cameras Will Continue: Galaxy S26 Ultra Will Not Impress with Photo Capabilities — this may disappoint fans expecting a technological breakthrough, as the top model of the next smartphone line will receive almost no innovations compared to the S25 Ultra.

Well, perhaps nothing will change in terms of optics, but thanks to the use of new LPDDR5X RAM, the quality of photo and video shooting in Samsung smartphones will still increase.

What is known

A reliable insider Ice Universe reported that all Galaxy S26 models, including the Ultra, will come with at least 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which significantly increases data processing speed and when combined with next-generation chipsets, will provide Galaxy S26 devices with high performance and energy efficiency.

According to Ice Universe, the new memory will give the Galaxy S26 Ultra significant advantages in photo and video compared to the 2025 flagship. Frame processing speed will increase by 20–25%, which will reduce lag during night shooting and speed up HDR operations. The neural network will process images faster, RAW file export will accelerate by about 30%, stability during 8K shooting at 120 fps will improve, heating will reduce by 10-15%, and switching between lenses will become smoother and faster.

The official premiere of the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup Insider: The flagship Samsung Galaxy S26 series presentation will take place at the end of February 2026 at the Galaxy Unpacked event. But this is unofficial information, so changes are possible.
