The new Samsung Exynos 1680 mobile processor has been certified in the Bluetooth SIG database. This means that one of its key features, namely Bluetooth 6.1 support, is already confirmed. This step indicates that the company is preparing for an official launch.

What is known

The Galaxy A56 operated on the Exynos 1580, which in turn replaced the Exynos 1480 in the Galaxy A55. The upcoming Galaxy A57 will be the first device based on the new Exynos 1680. The smartphone is expected to be released in early 2026.

Compared to Bluetooth 5.3, which was supported by the Exynos 1580, version 6.1 provides better privacy, faster connection, and lower power consumption during streaming or working with accessories.

Early Geekbench tests showed that the Exynos 1680 has an eight-core architecture with one core at 2.0 GHz, four cores at 1.95 GHz, and three at 1.70 GHz. The graphics subsystem is represented by the Xclipse 550 based on AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture, providing a slight performance increase in games.
