Casio is preparing a limited series of watches inspired by the Stranger Things series — a blogger showed their photos
At the end of November, Netflix will premiere the final fifth season of the popular series Stranger Things, and in honor of this event, the Japanese brand Casio is preparing to release themed models of their own watches.
What is known
Officially, Casio has not yet unveiled the watches inspired by Stranger Things, but insider geesgshock published their first photos on his Instagram page.
It became known that two models will be offered to buyers: the digital DW-5600 G-Shock and the combined AQ-800. Both models are adorned with elements referencing the "Upside Down" and have a pronounced retro style, justified by the plot of the series, which unfolds in the mid-1980s.
The dial of the DW-5600 model is decorated with images of grapevines, and the "Stranger Things" logo is placed above the screen, in red to match the backlight.
The dial of the AQ-800 model also has a vine print, but the design is more intense, and the watch has a hybrid design: an analog dial with a small digital screen underneath.
Both models have compact cases and quartz movements.
The watches will be delivered in a special themed case, which also has a detailed entwined vine pattern and series logo.
When to expect
The watches are expected to go on sale in Japan at the beginning of December. The price of the AQ-800 will be $114 (converted from yen), and the DW-5600 will be around $128.
No information is yet available on the global release of the Casio x Stranger Things watches.
