Dongfeng will launch electric vehicles with a range of 1000 km in 2026
Chinese automaker Dongfeng announced plans to launch electric vehicles with new solid-state batteries. These energy storage systems will provide a range of up to 1,000 kilometers.
What is known
According to the company, the energy density of the new solid-state battery is 350 watt-hours per kilogram. It has successfully passed tests at extreme temperatures: from -30°C to +130°C, maintaining more than 72% capacity even in severe frost.
Dongfeng is also developing a high-voltage platform for electric vehicles, supporting charging power up to 2 megawatts. In this case, it will be possible to replenish the range by 450 km in just five minutes, which corresponds to a charging speed of 2.5 kilometers per second.
The first new-generation electric vehicle will appear in September next year.
