Samsung released the November 2025 security update for the Galaxy S22 series

Samsung has started rolling out the November 2025 security update for Galaxy S22 series smartphones. Users in India were the first to receive it, but the patch will soon be available in other countries as well.

What is known

The update addresses 25 vulnerabilities, two of which are critical. Additionally, it includes fixes for 11 issues in Exynos chips. The update aims to enhance device protection and ensure better data privacy.

The firmware version is S901EXXSCGYK2 for Galaxy S22, S906EXXSCGYK2 for Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra receives version S908EXXSCGYK2. The update size is approximately 450 MB.

In addition to security fixes, the update also brings slight performance improvements. The Galaxy S22 series is expected to receive the One UI 8.5 update next year, which will be based on Android 16 QPR2. Currently, the beta version has not been launched.

The mid-range model Galaxy A25 also receives the November 2025 update with firmware version A256EXXS9DYK2.
