Sony and Sucker Punch studio announced a major update for the highly acclaimed action game Ghost of Yōtei, featuring the main highlight of the 'New Game+' mode.

What is known

The patch will be released on November 24 and includes several important innovations.

As always, the 'New Game+' mode will unlock after the first playthrough of Ghost of Yōtei, allowing you to start the story anew while retaining all your gear, acquired abilities, and found items.

Additionally, Ghost of Yōtei will include additional difficulty levels, two new trophies, and another level for upgrading armor and weapons. Furthermore, players will receive more than 30 new cosmetic items, including armor and weapon dyes, as well as ten new charms with various effects.

The game will feature the ability to replay story missions and several additional options for players with disabilities, including button remapping.

Sucker Punch will continue to support Ghost of Yōtei and in 2026 will release a free cooperative mode, Legends, similar to what is offered in Ghost of Tsushima.
