Panther Lake third generation on the way — Intel revealed the presentation date of Core Ultra 300 processors
Intel announced the presentation date of the Core Ultra 300 Panther Lake processors, which will be the first chips created using the Intel 18A process technology.
What is known
The company announced that the first demonstration of the Core Ultra 300 will take place on January 5, 2026, at the CES exhibition in Las Vegas. Jim Johnson, the senior vice president and head of Intel's Client Computing Group, will speak on stage.
The architecture of Panther Lake uses high-performance Cougar Cove P-Cores and energy-efficient Darkmont E-Cores, including LP variants. Graphics are handled by the integrated Xe3 architecture with an increased L2 cache of up to 16 MB, support for 12 ray-tracing units, and performance up to 120 TOPS.
Intel positions Panther Lake as a balance of power and energy efficiency, combining the strengths of Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake. In the desktop segment, only the Arrow Lake Refresh update is expected in 2026, while Panther Lake will be a major step forward for notebooks and ultrabooks.
