IKEA announced two new models of Bluetooth speakers — Solskydd and Kulglass, which combine the functionality of an audio system with a design approach, turning the equipment into an element of the interior.

What's known

IKEA continues to develop its range of stylish smart devices, and the new Solskydd and Kulglass models won't want to be hidden — they themselves become decorative items.

The Solskydd series is created in collaboration with designer Tekla Evelina Severin. The speakers look like a fabric-covered disc and will be available in three sizes (8, 11, and 18”) and bright colors. The speakers support Spotify Tap and multi-speaker mode, and the older versions offer three equalizer presets. The cost of this model ranges from $80 to $140.

Kulglass is a hybrid of a table lamp and speaker. The glass lampshade diffuses soft light, while inside there is a 25 mm tweeter and a 90 mm speaker. The device provides a volume of up to 82.6 dB, supports Bluetooth and Spotify Tap, and can be combined into a multiroom system of up to 100 devices. The price will be around $130.

Sales of Solskydd and Kulglass will begin in December 2025.
