Taiwanese brand AOC introduced the U27G4XM gaming monitor, which combines Mini-LED technology and a high refresh rate, while also being affordably priced.

What is known

The novelty received a 27” Fast IPS panel with Mini-LED backlight and 1152 local dimming zones, providing deep contrast and precise detail rendering.

The monitor is certified to VESA DisplayHDR 1000 standard, supports peak brightness up to 1200 nits, and covers 151.8% of the sRGB space and 98% DCI-P3, making it interesting not only for gamers but also for artists, editors, and animation specialists.

The main feature of the AOC U27G4XM is its unique dual-mode format: at 4K UHD resolution, the monitor can deliver a refresh rate up to 160 Hz, and in Full HD mode—up to 320 Hz, which is especially relevant for competitive games and eSports. The response time is 1 ms GtG, and support for VRR and compatibility with G-Sync ensures a smooth gaming experience without frame tearing.

The monitor can be used in landscape or portrait orientation.

AOC positions the U27G4XM as an alternative to OLED monitors: thanks to Mini-LED backlighting, the matrix is free from pixel burn-in risk, but still provides a high level of HDR and brightness.

The novelty will appear on the global market in January 2026. It is known that in the UK its price will be around £400.
