Don't expect a new trailer for The Witcher 4 at The Game Awards 2025 — CD Projekt head tempers gamers' expectations

Many gamers logically assumed that this year, TGA would also reveal more footage of the ambitious Polish RPG, especially since CD Projekt had already showcased a tech demo. Unfortunately, this won't happen.

CD Projekt's CEO Michał Nowakowski published a post on X, stating that a new trailer for The Witcher IV should not be expected at The Game Awards 2025. The game will be presented in the 'Most Anticipated Game' category, but there will be no new information about it.

It's likely that Polish developers currently have nothing to show the public, and the game's release will not happen before 2027. Moreover, CD Projekt previously stated that it would not repeat its own mistakes and would not overly hype its projects ahead of time, as was the case with Cyberpunk 2077.
