Unexpected Move by Samsung: Galaxy TriFold Will Have the Same Price Tag as iPhone Fold, Which Has Only Two Internal Screens
According to rumors, sales of the Galaxy TriFold — an ambitious triple-folding smartphone from Samsung — will begin in December in the US and South Korea. Naturally, everyone is interested in its price, and potential buyers are mentally prepared for it not to be low. Their benchmark is the price of the only similar smartphone, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, which hit the global market in early 2025 and costs €3499.
But Samsung may give buyers a pleasant surprise.
What is known
According to insider yeux1122, the Korean manufacturer may take an unexpected step and set the price for the Galaxy TriFold at around $2450.
Those who follow smartphone news have, of course, guessed the reason for this price. A few days ago, information about the iPhone Fold leaked online, according to which it will cost $2399. Apparently, Samsung's analysts also read the Gagadget portal and decided that their advanced gadget would be more attractive in the eyes of buyers with the same price tag, especially since the iPhone Fold will have only two internal screens.
Interestingly, according to yeux1122, Samsung planned to set the price for the Galaxy TriFold at $2720. It seems such a price would be more justified for a TriFold format device, but Samsung cannot afford to lose the foldable smartphone race to Apple, even though it started first.
