Samsung allowed disabling ads on their refrigerators
Samsung has faced sharp criticism from users due to the appearance of ads on refrigerator screens. Although such devices allow viewing recipes, watching YouTube videos, shopping, and managing a smart home, the appearance of advertisements has caused outrage among owners.
What is known
The September firmware update activated ad display on the "Weather," "Color," and "Daily Board" screensavers. This caused dissatisfaction among some users, as after purchasing a premium-class device, many did not expect to see advertising materials on the kitchen screen. Subsequently, Samsung responded to the complaints and added the option to disable ad display.
As reported by one of the Reddit users, the latest software update adds an "Ads" item in the refrigerator settings. To disable it, simply go to "Settings," scroll down, and turn off the corresponding switch.
