The new helloyellow app turns Playdate into a messenger with voice messages and groups
A new way of communication has appeared for Playdate owners. Developer Jon Simantov, author of the game Cranky Cove, has released the helloyellow app. It allows sending voice messages, creating group chats, and sharing achievements with friends directly from the Playdate device.
What is known
The app works via Wi-Fi, but messages can be recorded offline. They are automatically sent after connecting to the network. Users can also leave voice notes for themselves. In the free version, the duration of one message is limited to two minutes. The full version, which costs five dollars, allows recording up to ten minutes.

To add friends, you need to use a hellocode. A library of emojis for reactions is also available. You can download helloyellow on itch.io. The only thing left is to find people willing to communicate through Playdate.
