Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now available on Nintendo Switch 2 — the port receives excellent reviews
Ubisoft has ported one of its latest games to the Nintendo Switch 2 — we are talking about the action game Assassin’s Creed Shadows, initially released in March 2025 on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
What is known
The game is already available for purchase in both digital and physical editions at a price of $60. Developers promise to update it and add new content simultaneously with other versions, and it has now been released with all post-release updates and the storyline expansion Claws of Awaji.
Many gamers had serious concerns about the technical implementation of the port, but judging by the critics' evaluations, Ubisoft has done an excellent job. The power of Switch 2 is sufficient for fast loading and maintaining a stable frame rate, but unfortunately, in portable mode, users can only expect 30 FPS.
Surprisingly, the Switch 2 port received the highest ratings on Metacritic compared to other versions:
