Nubia Fold introduced - the brand's first foldable smartphone with a record battery for similar devices
ZTE has introduced Nubia Fold - the first foldable smartphone in the Nubia lineup in a "book" format. The device stands out for its affordable price compared to similar gadgets and a record high-capacity battery.
What is known
The Nubia Fold is equipped with an internal 8” screen with a resolution of 2480 × 2200 pixels and supports multitasking mode, as well as an external 6.5” display (2748 × 1172 pixels). Both screens have a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits and operate at a frequency of 120 Hz, ensuring smoothness of the interface and games.
Performance is provided by the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, complemented by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The novelty runs on Android 15.
The cameras include a 50 MP main module, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 5 MP macro. For selfies, there are two 20 MP front cameras - on the internal and external displays.
The main advantage of the Nubia Fold is the 6560 mAh battery, which is 1000 mAh more than most foldable smartphones. It supports fast charging at 55W. The body is protected according to the IP54 standard, ensuring resistance to dust and splashes.
In terms of compactness, the Nubia Fold does not set records - its thickness is 11.1 mm when folded, which is an excellent parameter, especially considering its battery.
The device will go on sale on December 4th only in Japan at a price of about $1145 (converted from yen). A global release is expected in 2026.
