Rivian first created a conceptual SUV with a paint job inspired by 1980s Miami, which looks like it drove straight out of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. And now the company has promised to release 10 units of the R1S Quad Miami Edition priced at $134,990.

What is known

The R1S Quad Miami Edition, as the name implies, is based on the flagship four-motor version of the R1S, capable of competing with the Corvette, whereas the original concept was built on the three-motor R1S Tri model. At the same time, the bright design remained unchanged.

Only 10 units will be produced, each with a Glacier White body adorned with splashes of turquoise and pink on the doors and front bumper, as well as 22-inch Miami Edition wheels. If the doors are decorated with turquoise stripes, then the wheels feature both colors, as does the front, where a pink towing eye peeks out from the blue bumper.

Changes in the interior compared to standard cars are significantly less. There is a pink stripe on the headrest and carpeting that looks as if it were made from the same material as beach straw mats.

The four electric motors give the Miami Edition a power of 1025 hp (764 kW), providing acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.6 seconds.

Rivian asks for $134,990 for the Miami Edition, which is $13,000 more than the regular R1S Quad. With a run of only 10 units, selling them likely won't be an issue.
