Today, one of the main news topics was the “Harry Potter”, “Batman” and “Game of Thrones” change hands: Netflix buys Warner Bros. for $82.7 billion

The deal is valued at $82.7 billion, for which Netflix not only gains access to Warner Bros. franchises, including Harry Potter, DC Comics Universe, The Matrix, Mad Max, Scooby-Doo, The Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones, but also the HBO channel and the HBO Max streaming service.

Cable channels CNN, TBS, and TNT are excluded from the deal and placed in a separate structure, and until now, there was no information about the fate of the Warner Bros. gaming division, but now we know what will happen with it.

What is known

Later, a Warner Bros. representative confirmed to the Gamedeveloper portal that the company's gaming division is also part of the deal. Consequently, Netflix gets its hands on a pretty good set of video game studios: NetherRealm, Rocksteady, TT Games, Avalanche Software, and others known for the Mortal Kombat, Injustice, Batman: Arkham, LEGO games, and Hogwarts Legacy series.
