At the end of November, prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that Apple may transfer M7 processor production to Intel and in 2027, the American semiconductor manufacturer will begin producing M-chips for Mac and iPad.

However, it has now become known that the joint plans of the two tech giants are much broader.

What is Known

Analyst Jeff Pu reported that Apple plans to involve Intel in the production of chips not only for laptops and tablets but also for basic iPhone models.

According to Pu, Intel will start producing processors for iPhone in 2028, but will not be involved in their development.

MacRumors suggests that it is about the Apple A22 chip for iPhone 20 and iPhone 20e. The production of chips is expected to use Intel's future 14A process technology.

Sources emphasize that despite the renewed partnership with Intel, Apple's main partner in chip manufacturing will remain the Taiwanese company TSMC.
