The Chinese brand Hisense has unveiled the 27GX gaming monitor — a hybrid display and Smart TV with Mini LED backlighting and high brightness.

What is known

The new product features a 27” IPS panel with 4K UHD resolution and a refresh rate of 160Hz, as well as an alternative Full HD mode at 320Hz for esports disciplines. The Mini LED backlight includes 2304 local dimming zones, providing peak brightness up to 2000 nits and HDR1400 certification. The monitor supports 10-bit color, Dolby Vision, 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and precision ΔE<1, while the double-layer nano-coating reduces reflection to 1.8% and increases color accuracy by 33%.

The built-in MediaTek 9655 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal memory turn the monitor into a full-fledged Smart TV with support for applications and streaming services. The audio is supported by two 5W speakers with Dolby Atmos. Among the interfaces are HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-A, USB-C, and Type-C with reverse charging up to 90W. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 are supported.

In the Chinese market, the Hisense 27GX costs about $620 (converted from yuan). It is expected to launch soon in Europe.
