Samsung has launched the first stage of beta testing for the One UI 8.5 firmware based on Android 16.
What is known
The test version of One UI 8.5 is already available to Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone owners in Germany, and later today it will become available in the USA, UK, and South Korea. The beta is available to Samsung Members program participants, however, if you own a Galaxy S25 FE and S25 Edge, you will have to wait for the stable firmware version release.
It is known that the 2nd stage of testing will start on December 22nd — the beta version will become available in India and Poland. And on the same day, participants of the first stage will receive an update to One UI 8.5 Beta
The 3rd stage is expected on January 5th with the release of One UI 8.5 Beta 3.
