Smart #6 sedan turned out to be almost as long as two old ForTwo
Photos of the new Smart #6 sedan have been published on the Chinese social network Weibo. This is a big car, not just by Smart standards. It has a length of 4906 millimeters, which roughly corresponds to the length of the BMW 7 Series (E32). Moreover, it is almost as long as two first-generation ForTwos.
What else is known
Smart #6 has a wheelbase of 2926 mm. The width is 1922 mm and the height is 1508 mm. The car is equipped with 20-inch wheels with a complex pattern.
Not only the dimensions impress, but also the range: Smart claims that the #6 can travel 1810 kilometers on a full tank and a fully charged battery. However, this figure should be approached with a degree of skepticism, as it is calculated according to a very optimistic CLTC cycle.
Without starting the 1.5-liter internal combustion engine, the sedan travels 285 kilometers on a single charge. In plug-in hybrid mode, the Smart #6 is claimed to consume just 3.9 liters per 100 km, which is quite good for such a large and presumably heavy car. The total power is 429 hp.
Smart has not yet revealed the interior of the #6 model, but given its focus on the Chinese market, we can expect many screens and touch controls for most functions.
The Smart #6 will go on sale in China in 2026 and will likely remain a local model. For Europe, the brand is preparing a compact model in the style of the former ForTwo.
