Chinese company Biwin launched the sale of the first storage devices of a new format — Mini SSD, the name speaks for itself.

What is known

Mini SSD is a tiny NVMe solid-state drive, the size of a SIM card or SD card (15 x 17 mm). Thanks to the PCIe 4.0 interface, the read speed reaches 3700 MB/s, and the write speed — 3400 MB/s.

Three models of Mini SSD with 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB memory are offered to buyers. Prices in China are approximately $85, 155, and 311, respectively.

The first model from Biwin is called CL100 and it is currently the only Mini SSD on the market, but likely other manufacturers will release options soon.

For convenient use of Mini SSD, Biwin also released a card reader: RD510 connects to a computer via USB 4 and is equipped with its own fan.
