LG Electronics has released its premium TV, the LG Magnit Active Micro LED, in the US, which has an impressively large diagonal of 136" and an equally impressive weight of 175 kg.

What is known

Previously, the TV was only available in the South Korean market, but now it can be purchased in the US, though it may not be affordable for everyone, as the price is estimated to be around $350,000 — the official price tag has not been disclosed yet.

Magnit is not an ordinary television. The construction is made up of four frameless 68" modules, which form a single 4K screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which is especially important for dynamic scenes and games.

The TV is based on Active Matrix Micro LED technology, where each pixel is individually controlled, providing maximum color accuracy, deep blacks, and uniform brightness across the entire surface.

To enhance visual perception, LG applies a special surface treatment that reduces glare and enhances contrast, which reaches 1,000,000:1, making the image as realistic as possible. The image processing is handled by LG's proprietary Alpha 9 Gen6 AI processor, and the webOS operating system provides access to streaming services and smart functions.

The audio system includes 4.2-channel sound with a power of 100W and eARC support, allowing external audio devices to be connected without quality loss. Dolby Vision support is also declared, and the screen is TÜV Rheinland certified for color uniformity and viewing angles.
