Larian raises the stakes: the creators of Baldur's Gate 3 present Divinity — their most ambitious game
One of the main games at TGA 2025 was the new release from Larian Studios.
After the fantastic Baldur’s Gate III, which became the best game of 2023 and scored 96 points on Metacritic, the Belgian developers are not lowering the bar but raising it. They announced the dark RPG Divinity, which will be a direct continuation of the two parts of Divinity: Original Sin, but will have no subtitle.

TGA host Geoff Keighley revealed that the mysterious statue, which gamers, insiders, and journalists speculated about for two weeks, hinted at Larian’s new game.
The creators of Divinity stated that this will be their "most ambitious and large-scale game," which will even surpass Baldur’s Gate III.
We have gathered all our accumulated experience in [Divinity]. This is the start of a project that will surpass all our previous works in scale, elaboration, and emotional involvement. We have been heading to this point since the day we decided to create independently. Finally, we are making the Divinity we have always dreamed of, and we are sure it will bring you a sea of pleasure.
It is known that the new part of Divinity will transport gamers to the world of Rivellon, where all the series’ games take place. The developers from Larian Studios did not disclose any more details but showed an incredibly atmospheric trailer.
