The expensive and stylish foldable smartphone Huawei Mate X7 enters the global market
Besides the unusual Art Router X3 Pro, Huawei has launched the new flagship foldable smartphone Mate X7 on the global market, which Huawei has unveiled the flagship foldable smartphone Mate X7 with premium design, cool cameras, and an impressive price.
What is known
Unlike the Chinese version, which is sold in five memory configurations, the international model is only available with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
The rest of the specifications are identical, and even the battery has not changed.
Specifications of Huawei Mate X7
Huawei Mate X7 features an external screen with a diagonal of 6.49” and a Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The internal screen has a diagonal of 8”, a resolution of 2416×2210 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 2500 nits.
Huawei paid special attention to the compactness of the Mate X7: its thickness is 4.5 mm when unfolded and 9.5 mm when folded, and it weighs 235 grams.
The Mate X7 is equipped with the proprietary Kirin 9030 chipset and has water protection according to IP58 and IP59 standards, which is rare for foldable smartphones.
The display is protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass, and Huawei demonstrated its durability in stress tests: the device withstands hot water, impacts from a metal ball, and multiple foldings.
The battery capacity is 5600 mAh, and the battery supports wired charging at 66W and wireless charging at 50W. The Mate X7 features an “Expedition” mode in which the smartphone operates for up to 10 days on a single charge.
The cameras of the Mate X7 are similar to those of the flagship Mate 80 Pro and include:
- A main module with 50 MP and a variable aperture;
- A periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom;
- An ultra-wide-angle lens with a 40 MP sensor;
- An 8 MP front camera.
The main camera module in the Collector's Edition uses a 1/1.28" optical-format sensor, which Huawei claims captures twice as much light as the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The periscope module with an F/2.2 aperture lens captures 127% more light compared to the equivalent lens on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
On the global market, the Mate X7 is available in three colors: Obsidian Black, Cloud White, and Universal Red, and it is priced at an impressive €2099.
