Casio released compact G-Shock GM-S2110 with metal bezel in USA
Casio officially announced the new G-Shock GM-S2110-1A1 and GM-S2110-1A7 models with metal bezel in the USA. These watches were previously available in Japan and are now on sale in the brand's American online store for $200.
What's known
The new items are part of the GM-S2110 series. These are more compact versions of the metal G-Shock with the signature octagonal case design. Each watch measures 45.9 by 40.5 by 11 mm, and weighs 56 g. The case is made of stainless steel and polymer, and the strap is made of bio-rubber.
GM-S2110-1A1 has a black dial with a negative LCD display. GM-S2110-1A7 features a silver dial with a positive display. The design is restrained and suitable for everyday use, unlike the brighter G-Shock models of recent years.
Both models have standard functions of the GM-S2110 series. Among them are world time in 31 time zones, a stopwatch with an accuracy of 1/100 second, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, an automatic calendar until the year 2099, and a hand shift function for easier viewing of the digital display. Dual LED Super Illuminator lighting is used for backlighting, which separately lights the analog and digital parts.
The water protection level is 200 meters. Power is supplied by a CR1025 battery with an estimated lifespan of up to three years.
