iFixit specialists rated the repairability of the Red Magic 11 Pro gaming flagship at 3 out of 10 - and the problem is not with the cooling system
The iFixit team specialists disassembled the Red Magic 11 Pro - a gaming flagship that is named the most powerful Android smartphone in October and November.
Let's recall, the main feature of the gadget is the combination of air and water cooling, and it is this system that received the most praise from iFixit.
What is known
Engineers noted that dismantling the smartphone is significantly simplified by the fact that to start the process, you need to remove not the display, but the back panel, which houses the cooling system—this is easy to do, and all other components remain fully intact.
The high rating from iFixit was also deserved by the excellent modularity of the smartphone components, for example, the camera is easy to remove and reinstall. The absence of proprietary screws that require a special screwdriver also simplifies the repair.
But then the problems begin.
The battery in the Red Magic 11 Pro cannot be removed without damage, it needs to be pried out or, as iFixit did, use a vacuum suction cup.
The specialists did not even remove the display; however, they concluded that Nubia did not care about the repair of the Red Magic 11 Pro and did not provide any repair manuals or support programs.
As a result, iFixit rated the repairability of the Red Magic 11 Pro at 3 out of 10, so it is better to use the smartphone carefully.
