Announced Westlanders — an atmospheric survival simulator set in the Wild West
Many gamers dream of Red Dead Redemption 3, but its development has not been confirmed, and it will definitely be many years before a possible release. However, fans of westerns should not despair, as they will soon receive a potentially interesting novelty.
What is known
Independent developers from The Breach Studio and the publisher Radical Theory announced Westlanders — a survival simulator in the vast open world of the Wild West.
The player starts their journey as a nomad, with only a wagon with a minimal supply of resources and a couple of horses, and then everything follows the best traditions of the genre — we collect materials and valuable items, fend off bandits and wild animals, gradually set up a network of temporary shelters and create tools that open up opportunities for more advanced devices. In addition, players will develop their characters through a skills tree, choosing abilities and talents that suit their playing style.
Westlanders will feature random events that add unpredictability and excitement to the gameplay.
When to expect
The release of Westlanders is planned for 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
The authors have already opened a game page on Steam and on Kickstarter, where you can learn about the first details of the project.
