The Chinese giant Xiaomi has started raising prices on its products, and the first increase will affect tablets.

What is Known

According to the Gizmochina portal, Xiaomi tablets will become more expensive by $15-30 (converted from yuan) depending on the model.

The increase has already affected the Pad 8 lineup as well as all configurations of the Redmi Pad 2.

The basic version of the Xiaomi Pad 8 now costs 2299 yuan instead of 2199 yuan, and the starting price of the Pad 8 Pro has risen from 2799 yuan to 2899 yuan. The budget Redmi Pad 2 has increased in price by 200 yuan, which is a 20% markup.

The exact reasons for this decision are not stated, but it is likely related to the impact of the global shortage of RAM chips and their significant price increase. The price increase will surely affect other Xiaomi gadgets, as well as products from other companies. It is already known that Don't panic, but Dell laptops and PCs will increase in price by dozens of percent in the coming days.
