A new FIFA series football simulator has been announced, but fans of this gaming franchise are unlikely to be pleased.

What is known

Recall that in 2022, the International Federation of Football (FIFA) ceased cooperation with the publishing company Electronic Arts, which for more than twenty years has released the football simulator.

Now FIFA has announced the signing of an agreement with Netflix, and this media holding will become the publisher of the new game and at the same time one of the sponsors of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

The first nuance of the new FIFA is that it will be available only to Netflix subscribers, as it will be part of the Netflix Games catalog, available on tablets, smartphones, and smart TVs.

The second detail will surely upset fans of complex sports simulators – the new iteration of FIFA will be as casual as possible so that “one button can manage the favorite team”.

The game is being developed by Delphi Interactive, which does not have its own projects but is an outsourcing contractor, in particular, assisting IO Interactive in the development of 007: First Light.

Netflix promises to reveal the details of the next FIFA in 2026.
