Let us recall that Dispatch is somewhat similar to Telltale studio's projects: during cinematic scenes, gamers can also choose dialogue options and influence the course of events.
The main character of Dispatch is Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man. He is a superhero, but after suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of his enemy, he loses all his authority and gets a job at a superhero agency where he must remotely assist his colleagues. This is essentially the main gameplay mechanic. The player needs to wisely choose whom to send on missions and ensure everything goes according to plan.
Between "strategic" episodes, heroes will communicate, discuss their adventures, and build relationships.
Notably, the heroes are voiced by celebrities from the film and gaming industries, for example, the role of the main character is played by Aaron Paul, the star of the Breaking Bad series. Players can also hear the voices of Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part 2), Erin Yvette (The Wolf Among Us), Matthew Mercer (Critical Role), and Jeffrey Wright ("Batman").
Dispatch received the highest ratings from both critics and users, and sold over 2 million copies in a few weeks.
